What is Lakehouse architecture, and why is it better than a traditional Data Warehouse?
A traditional Data Warehouse requires data to be structured before it is loaded, which results in fragile ETLs, high maintenance costs, and difficulty scaling. Lakehouse architecture — the foundation of Data Readiness — combines the flexibility of a data lake with the governance and performance of a warehouse, all built on PostgreSQL. That means fresher data, lower cost per gigabyte, and the ability to grow with operational volume — without surprises on the bill.
Does Wevy Stream replace tools like Power BI or Fivetran?
Global ETL tools like Fivetran rarely offer native connectors for Brazilian ERPs such as Protheus and Sankhya, and they charge in U.S. dollars based on data volume, which can make billing unpredictable in larger operations. Standalone BI solutions like Power BI, on the other hand, depend on a separate engineering project to bring the data in.
Data Readiness provides the full pipeline: ERP connection, automated pipeline, lakehouse, and dashboards — all managed as a service, without requiring the client to build and maintain that infrastructure on their own.
How does ERP integration work?
Data Readiness includes native connectors for the main ERPs in the Brazilian market, including Protheus, SAP, and Sankhya. After installation, the system reads directly from the client’s production database, with no need for extensive manual customization or changes to ERP operations. The process is transparent: pipelines are pre-configured for key business tables, and data starts flowing into the lakehouse within a few days.
How long does it take for dashboards to become available after contracting the service?
Unlike traditional BI projects — which often take 4 to 8 months to deliver value — Data Readiness is a product with an automated data pipeline and pre-configured themed dashboards. In most cases, dashboards are up and running in days, not months. The client does not receive a blank screen; they receive real management indicators that are ready to use from the very first access.
How does pricing work? Can my company start small and scale?
Yes. The model was designed to grow with the company’s analytics maturity. Pricing is based on two simple criteria: the number of active dashboards and the monthly volume of data transferred. This means a company can start with up to 5 dashboards and a few gigabytes, then expand the contract as new areas are added to the data ecosystem, with no need for remigration or a platform switch.
