Wevy’s cloud has helped many companies to make their processes and businesses more efficient and scalable. And it’s no different with Leiturinha, the largest children’s book subscription club in Brazil.
Through the partnership to support the ERP Sankhya, Wevy’s private cloud makes it possible for various areas of Leiturinha to be constantly improved. has a positive impact on its productivity and the quality of the products and services delivered to the end customer. Today, the company has 190,000 active subscribers and produces almost 10,000 reading kits a day.
Wevy travelled to Poços de Caldas (MG), where Leiturinha operates, to hear this story from Marcos Francisco, Head of IT at Sandbox Group, a global network of companies that owns other famous brands such as PlayKids and toucanBox.

Wevy’s journey from the public cloud to the cloud
In November 2022, the project to migrate Leiturinha’s Sankhya ERP from the public cloud to Wevy’s private cloud began.
Although some doubts arose during the process, especially relating to security, connectivity and latency, the partnership with Wevy brought the necessary confidence for the project to be successfully completed in February 2023.
“We managed to overcome all the challenges, which gave us the confidence to carry out this migration following the idealised project,” says Marcos.
Why did Leiturinha choose the Wevy cloud?
According to the Head of IT, the choice of Wevy was based on three main pillars:
The first was the know-how and robustness of the team. Wevy showed that it had in-depth knowledge of the product, with a team of cloud computing experts and DBAs (Database Administrators) to correctly maintain the application.
“Wevy brought a very strong technical team and demonstrated in a practical way how they could help us, which was a very important lever for us,” says Marcos.
The second pillar was the focus on ERP maintenance and security. As Leiturinha has a very small team to develop internal applications, it was necessary to find a partner who could keep the system up to date and secure at all times.
“Wevy appeared as a great opportunity for us to be more and more compliant with the market, more and more aligned with best practices and up-to-date with the version,” emphasises the Head of IT.
Finally, the third pillar highlighted was cost-effectiveness. It was more advantageous for Leiturinha to outsource the costs of supporting and maintaining the ERP to Wevy than to keep an in-house team to take care of it. “The partnership has generated a financial saving for the company,” concludes Marcos.
8 improvements provided by Wevy’s cloud
Wevy’s Cloud generated 8 benefits that were able to optimise Leiturinha’s processes and results in a short space of time.
1 – Availability
While the application was under Leiturinha’s control, there were up to four downtime events a month, due to lack of maintenance or disc space. With the migration to the private cloud, it was possible to implement more automatic monitoring that prevents downtime, which has reduced these events to zero and increased the productivity of all the teams.
2 – Increased application uptime
This means that the Leiturinha website has remained available for longer, without any problems or server crashes.
3 – Leiturinha’s team focuses more on products
With Wevy’s cloud, the company was able to reduce the technology team’s workload when it came to resolving problems caused by a lack of preventive maintenance.
4 – Better experience for Leiturinha subscribers
With more time to focus on products, the company has been able to deliver a better experience for the club’s subscribers.
5 – 20% faster invoicing
With invoicing taking place more quickly, Leiturinha saw its production orders released more quickly, which accelerated the production line and the dispatch of reading kits to customers.
6 – Most up-to-date product
Wevy’s cloud has helped make the Sankhya ERP used by Leiturinha much more up-to-date. Before migrating to the private cloud, the company updated the system once a year. In the last year, in partnership with Wevy, at least 10 updates have been made.
“This means a more up-to-date product, with more security and more functionalities for our users,” comments Marcos.
7 – Maturing the governance process
The partnership with Wevy has matured Leiturinha’s governance process. The company recently underwent an annual global audit and had no points mentioned in relation to the ERP.
8 – A company with more processes and maturity
Both the strengthening of the governance process and the upgrades and better management of the environments prove Leiturinha’s growth after migrating to the private cloud.
Strategic business partnership beyond ERP
Leiturinha has always seen Wevy as a partner, seeking to solve the problems that arose during and after the implementation of the project. “We could see there was a genuine interest in wanting to resolve things mutually. So this characteristic for us, this way of relating, as a partner and not as a supplier, was the differentiator,” says Leiturinha’s Head of IT.
“We had challenges at the time of implementation, which I believe were the challenges of maturing our process. But as we matured and gained more autonomy on both sides, we managed to establish a strong and long-standing partnership. Today, post-implantation has been beneficial.”
Complete service portfolio
Although a success, Leiturinha’s partnership with Wevy is not limited to ERP support. Wevy’s broad portfolio of products and services points to new opportunities in security and process automation projects.
